Alanya Carob is a local fruit grown in the Alanya district of Antalya, distinguished by its dark brown color, long and flat shape, and naturally sweet, mild aroma. Its fleshy texture and natural sweetness give the fruit its distinctive character. Also known locally as Alanya Harnup, it is well adapted to the region’s warm climate, limited rainfall, and terra rossa soils. It can be enjoyed fresh or dried and is also used to make molasses and various traditional local products.
